What to expect when you get in touch
How to get in touch and what to expect
The quickest way to reach us is the enquiry form on this page. Give us a few details about the building, the work you are considering, and how best to contact you, and your enquiry will come straight through to the studio team. If you would rather speak to someone, you are welcome to call or email using the details further down the page.
When you first make contact, it helps to describe the property and the windows or joinery in question in your own words. There is no need for technical language. Useful things to mention include the age and type of the building, whether it is listed or sits within a conservation area, roughly how many windows or elements are involved, and whether you are dealing with a specific problem such as sticking sashes, draughts, rot, broken cords, or failed paintwork. Photographs are always welcome and often tell us more than a paragraph can.
Requesting a survey in London and the South East
In London and the South East we offer our full service, which begins with a survey of the property. This is the right route if you want us to restore, repair, or replace existing windows, fit new timber joinery, or take on a wider programme of works across a building. The survey lets us see the condition of the timber, glazing, cords, and ironmongery for ourselves, take accurate measurements, and understand how the windows sit within the building and its setting.
To request a survey, use the enquiry form and let us know the property address along with a short description of the work you have in mind. If the building is listed or in a conservation area, please say so, as it shapes what we can specify and how we approach the detailing.
After the survey we prepare a clear written proposal setting out what we recommend, why, and what it involves. Because every period building is different, we take the time to get this right rather than issuing a generic template. If you are working to a particular timescale, a planning condition, or a listed building consent, tell us early and we will factor it into how we plan the work.
Supply‑only enquiries from the rest of the UK
If your property is outside London and the South East, we offer a supply‑only, made‑to‑measure joinery service across the rest of the UK. This is designed for homeowners, builders, and contractors who want joinery made to the same standard as our London work but who will handle installation themselves or through their own trades.
For a supply‑only enquiry, the more accurate the information you can provide, the better. Sizes, sightlines, glazing bar layouts, moulding profiles, timber preferences, and glazing requirements all help us understand exactly what you need. Clear photographs of the existing windows or joinery, along with any measured drawings you already have, allow us to advise you properly and produce items that fit and look right in the building.
Everything is made by hand at the studio and prepared for delivery to your address. Because we are not carrying out the fitting on supply‑only projects, we will talk you through the details that matter for a good installation, but the responsibility for measuring and fitting rests with you or your chosen installer. If you are unsure whether your project is better suited to our full service or supply only, simply describe where the property is and what you are planning, and we will point you in the right direction.
Trade and architect enquiries
We work regularly with architects, surveyors, main contractors, developers, and other trades on period and listed buildings, and we are always glad to hear from professionals at any stage of a project. Whether you are pricing a scheme, resolving a tricky detail, or looking for a joinery partner who understands heritage work, the studio can help.
For trade and architect enquiries, it is helpful to share drawings, specifications, schedules, or a heritage statement where these exist, along with the stage the project has reached and any programme dates you are working to. We can advise on suitable timber, joinery details, glazing options, and how proposals sit alongside conservation requirements, and we are comfortable working within the constraints of listed building consent and conservation area controls.
We supply joinery to trade across the UK and take on full survey and installation work in London and the South East, so we can flex to the way you prefer to work. If you would like to discuss a live project or set up a longer working relationship, get in touch through the form or by email and mark your enquiry for the attention of the studio.
